Our Waters

Venue description:

Approximately 30 chains of canal on the east side of Kintbury Lock

Plus the stream of approximately 30 Chains. The Stream is located on the left hand side of the canal.

This is a typical canal fishery with small fish dominating throughout, although there are some good roach, Skimmers, Bream, Chub, Pike and very large perch.

Our waters start at the sign at the rear of Railway cottage, and our waters finish at the Pill Box (Canal) where the stream goes under the adjacent railway line.

The top end of the fishery is fairly wide and a carrier from the old Mill provides some flow in this section.

Species: Roach, Skimmers, Bream, Perch, Chub, Trout and Grayling and Pike with the odd Tench,.

Parking: Public car park next to Kintbury Lock. Please note: Neither Kintbury Fishing Club or any riparian owner except any liability for loss or damage to any motor vehicle or personal belongings whilst visiting club waters.

Additional facilities: Public toilets also available at Kintbury Lock.

We are also affiliated to the Anglers Trust, which reflects our concern for the environment we enjoy.
